‘Two Women’ Movie Acquired By Joint Venture For 2025 Release

EXCLUSIVE: Joint Venture, the recently launched distribution company of industry veterans Vinay Singh, Chris Lane and Jess Jacobs, has acquired U.S. rights to Two Women, the feminist sex comedy directed by Chloé Robichaud, which won the World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award for Writing following its world premiere at Sundance 2025.

Slated for release in theaters later this year, the film stars Karine Gonthier-Hyndman and Laurence Leboeuf as Florence and Violette, neighbors who become unlikely companions as they navigate the confines of monogamy. Others in the cast include Mani Soleymanlou and Yellowjackets‘ Sophie Nélisse.

Pic is written by Catherine Léger, based on her own play Home Deliveries, and adapted from the 1970 film Deux femmes en or by Claude Fournier. Léger and Martin Paul-Hus served as producers.

“It’s an exciting new milestone for Two Women, following a wonderful premiere at the Sundance Film Festival,” said Robichaud. “I am thrilled to be working with the team at Joint Venture. They sincerely love the film and are truly committed to helping it shine across the U.S.”

Joint Venture co-founders Singh and Jacobs added, “Building a new approach to distribution – as true joint ventures with filmmakers and in coalition with cross-sector partners – requires a brilliant film and a team that understands their audience. We are incredibly excited to partner with Chloé, Catherine, Martin and the whole Two Women team to share this relatable – and hilarious – film with audiences.”

Following its Sundance launch, Two Women has also sold via Pulsar Content to France (Les Alchimistes), UK (Kaleidoscope), Italy (Plaion), Greece (Rosebud), Portugal (Lusomundo), Israel (Shoval), Poland (Aurora), Bulgaria (Beta), CIS (MJM Group), Brazil (Imovision), Former Yugoslavia (Discovery Film), and Airlines (Skeye). The deal for U.S. rights was negotiated by CEO Gilles Sousa and Valentine Loche on behalf of Pulsar and Presidents Chris Lane and Becca Leckie on behalf of Joint Venture.
