He’s a superstar comedian and award-winning author, but where does David Walliams stand against 100 everyday Aussies?
That’s what Little Britain star was excited to find out as he braved The Hundred in a hilarious new episode.
But it seems David wasn’t as recognisable as he thought, perhaps for one hilarious reason.

With David’s legendary characters on Little Britain and Come Fly With Me and the dozens of children’s books he has published over the years, the UK funnyman’s fanbase is far and wide.
You’d think that would include Australia, surely.
“How many people can recognise our special guest?” host Andy Lee asked a virtual room of 100 Australians representing the nation.
“I reckon if this was in Britain it would be close to 100 percent,” Andy hinted.

When it comes to Australia, David confidently guessed the stats would be the same that 100 percent of Aussies would recognise him.

But when the results came in, David’s face was hilariously less than impressed:
“Sixty five percent!” Andy announced.
While panellist Sophie Monk called the result “pretty solid”, David replied: “Why would I be happy with that?”

“That’s two-thirds of Australia,” Andy said encouragingly.
It wasn’t until Andy pointed out that David was of Little Britain fame, the room let out a collective “Ohhhhh”.
Yep, it all clicked.
David jokingly put it down to one bizarre reason, perhaps they ”hadn’t seen him dressed as a man before”.
