EXCLUSIVE: Kordell Beckham has been tapped to co-star in the new KeyTV series Southern Fried Rice.
The Love Island USA Season 6 winner has landed his first scripted role for Keke Palmer‘s network.
Southern Fried Rice follows a Gen-Z Asian American girl, Koko, played by Page Yang, raised from birth by Southern Black parents as she struggles to defend and redefine her identity after being accepted into a popular Historically Black College and University (HBCU).
Beckham plays Steve, a carefree, artsy intellectual who marches to the beat of his own drum, literally as a music major. In addition to his handsome face and unique style, he is spontaneous and sociable.
Since winning the dating series, Beckham has been focused on launching his acting and professional modeling career. He made his major runway debut at New York Fashion Week wearing designs by KDaniels and Romeo Hunte.
Southern Fried Rice is executive produced by Keke Palmer, Sharon Palmer, and Lenoria Addison for Palmer’s network KeyTV. The series is produced by award-winning filmmakers Stephens, Shanay J. Campbell and Shayla Racquel in partnership with Damn Write Originals and KeyTV.
Beckham is represented by VLF Media & Promotions.
