‘Little House of the Family’ Releases First Cast Photos At Table Read

Production is underway on Little House on the Prairie, Netflix‘s reboot based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s classic semi-autobiographical novels. The streamer on Monday released some of the first photos from the table read, which you can view above and below.

The photo above features the Ingalls family — Crosby Fitzgerald as Caroline Ingalls, Skywalker Hughes as Mary Ingalls, Alice Halsey as Laura Ingalls and Luke Bracey as Charles Ingalls — along with Warren Christie as John Edwards, Meegwun Fairbrother as Mitchell, Wren Zhawenim Gotts as Good Eagle, Alyssa Wapanatǎhk as White Sun and Jocko Sims as Dr. George Tann.

Described as part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West, the new Little House On the Prairie comes from showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine and CBS Studios.

Sonnenshine executive produces alongside Joy Gorman Wettels for Joy Coalition, Trip Friendly for Friendly Family Productions, Dana Fox and Susanna Fogel. Sarah Adina Smith will direct the first episode. CBS Studios produces with Anonymous Content Studio. Filming is slated to begin in June in Winnipeg, Canada.
