Lilly Singh Signs With UTA

EXCLUSIVE: UTA has signed award-winning actress, producer, and New York Times bestselling author Lilly Singh for representation in all areas, with an eye toward helping her to secure new opportunities across unscripted television, film, and more.

The signing comes ahead of the release of Singh’s debut feature, Doin’ It, which premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival and is slated for a wide release later this year. The film, which Singh co-wrote, produced, and starred in, follows an Indian-American virgin who gets a job teaching high school sex ed.

Singh will also soon be heard reprising her role as Tiffany Fluffit in Universal/DreamWorks’ The Bad Guys 2, which releases August 1. Recently, it was announced that she will join the WNBA Toronto Tempo’s ownership group, taking the title of Chief Hype Officer for the team.

Singh began her career as a pioneering star on YouTube, amassing over 17.2M subscribers since the platform’s inception. Her successful online presence was a springboard, launching her to a lead role on the Emmy-winning Disney+ series The Muppets Mayhem and 2022’s The Bad Guys, among other projects. She’s perhaps best known for hosting and exec producing NBC’s late-night talk show A Little Late with Lilly Singh, which ran for two seasons, having made history there as the first person of Indian and South Asian descent, as well as one of the few women ever to host an American late-night talk show.

A fervent gender equality advocate, Singh was appointed in 2024 to Sustainable Development Goals Advocate by the UN Secretary-General and addressed the UN at UNGA 2024. She was the 2023 recipient of the DVF Leadership Award and has also been named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, working to empower and expand opportunities for girls and women through her Unicorn Island Fund.

Singh’s production company, Unicorn Island Productions, looks to highlight underrepresented voices and challenge the way in which women and girls are regarded in entertainment and beyond. The multi-hyphenate continues to be represented by manager Kyle Kuhns of 03 Media, Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, and Ground Control Business Management.
