Although Coachella 2025 is nearly done, Lady Gaga brought her all to Weekend 2 of the music festival.
The 14x Grammy winner returned to the Coachella main stage on Friday, where her head mic began glitching during ‘Abracadabra’, her second track of the night, but she powered through the choreography and soon re-emerged with a working hand mic.
“I’m sorry my mic was broken for a second,” Gaga later told the crowd. “At least you know I sing live. I guess all we can do is our best and I’m certainly giving you my best tonight.”
Marking her first time performing at Coachella since headlining in 2017, when she replaced Beyoncé on the lineup, Gaga has brought her latest album Mayhem and some of her other greatest hits to the Inland Empire for the 2025 festival.
Last weekend, she performed her Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe-winning song ‘Shallow’, which she originally sang with co-star Bradley Cooper for the acclaimed 2018 remake A Star Is Born.
“You know, since the last time I played Coachella, I’ve had some songs come out,” she prefaced. “But one of them, I think back to being here and remember how special it was that I got to perform here. And we filmed a movie, a movie that changed my life, helped me say something I hadn’t said before.”
Gaga continued, “I’m so excited to sing this for you here tonight, I couldn’t wait. I hope you sing it as loud as you can. There ain’t nothing like you. Come on, let’s get far from the shallow.”
In addition to Gaga, headliners for Coachella 2025 include Green Day and Post Malone, also featuring performances by Missy Elliott, Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, Benson Boone, Zedd, Shaboozey, Ty Dolla Sign, Misfits, Prodigy, FKA Twigs and Jimmy Eat World.
