Jesse Armstrong’s HBO Movie ‘Mountainhead’ Gets Early Release On Max


Viewers will get an early look at Mountainhead, Jesse Armstrong‘s follow-up project to his hit series Succession. The HBO original film,, which was set to debut on May 31 at 8 pm ET/PT across HBO and Max, will now be available for viewers to watch beginning at 12:01 a.m. PT/3:01 a.m. ET, HBO announced Friday. The film will still air on HBO at its originally scheduled time, 8 pm ET/PT May 31.

Mountainhead follows a group of billionaire friends who get together against the backdrop of a rolling international crisis.

The film stars Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, Cory Michael Smith and Ramy Youssef. Supporting cast includes Hadley Robinson, Andy Daly, Ali Kinkade, Daniel Oreskes, David Thompson, Amie MacKenzie and Ava Kostia.

Mountainhead is written and directed by Armstrong and executive produced by Armstrong, Frank Rich, Lucy Prebble, Jon Brown, Tony Roche, Will Tracy, Mark Mylod, and Jill Footlick.
