Identical twins, who married twin sisters, reveal how they pulled off a 1 in 300 chance wedding on Australia’s Most Identical 2025


Identical twins Hamed and Mahdi had a unique dream – to live in Australia together and marry another set of identical twins.

With only 300 recorded cases in history of identical twins marrying identical twins, the odds were stacked against them.

But they soon met their dream girls online, twin sisters. What happened next might surprise you.

In the search for the country’s most alike set of twins in a captivating new series, Australia’s Most Identical, the twin brothers revealed how their fairytale wedding became a reality.

After years of searching of online, they made a connection on Instagram finding identical twin sisters Nazanin and Nahid.

“Our dream came true,” said the twin electrical engineers. “Two copies just like a mirror working together.”

What might surprise you is that now they are married, all four of them live together under one roof in Western Sydney.

So what is it like living with two sets of twins and essentially two identical couples?

“We support each other always,” said the wives. “We are like a team.”

Interestingly, if these two couples had children, their kids would officially be first cousins.

Genetically, they would share the same DNA as siblings in an extremely rare phenomenon known as ‘quaternary twins’.
