It was a day of the highest highs and the lowest lows when bride-to-be Steph arrived at the Say Yes To The Dress boutique.
Ironically, Steph was a family lawyer who specialised in divorce… which made planning her own wedding rather interesting.

Safe to say, it didn’t always go well.
Steph said she was open to “a bit of red” in her wedding day look as a nod to her culture – so Tan decided to try just that.
“I want to put her in something bold, I want to put her in something dramatic,” he said.
Tan wasn’t lying, pulling a bright red gown with striped sequin details.

However, it was immediately clear the head-turning number he selected was not for her.
”Tan, I really hate it,” Steph reacted, bursting into laughter.
“I just, I hate it. I hate the sequins, I hate the stripes, I hate the sound. There’s nothing I like about this,” she said.
Ouch, that’s brutal.
Steph had already tried on five or six dresses and was no closer to finding ‘the one’, so it came as no surprise that she also said no to Tan’s second and third choices as well.

It all came down to a fourth choice and Tan could not contain his excitement.
“It’s one of my favourite dresses I’ve ever seen in life. I love this dress so much,” he gushed.
