Exclusive: Travel Guides sisters Stack and Mel make their grand TV return – and it’s not how you might expect


EXCLUSIVE: They’re the identical twin cowgirls that left a hole in Aussie fans’ hearts when they left the hit show Travel Guides in 2023.

Now Stacey and Mel Wilburn, better known as Stack and Mel, are making a grand TV comeback – but not how you might expect.

The 34-year-olds are joining 99 other sets of Aussie twins in the special event series Australia’s Most Identical.

Australia’s Most Identical will premiere on Tuesday June 24 on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Speaking to 9Entertainment, Stack and Mel said when the opportunity to take part in Australia’s Most Identical came about, they were keen to put their hand up and “have a crack”.

“Everyone says that Stack and I are the same, so we thought it would be interesting to see just how much we are alike,” Mel said.

With the pair having travelled the globe together, there’s no guessing just how close the twin sister are.

And they agreed that it’s true that twins just have an “unspoken bond”.

They admitted to experiencing one another’s morning sickness and having the same dreams.

Superstitions aside, Stack and Mel say the greatest part about being a twins is always having your best mate around. 

“You’ve always got that someone to rely on. No matter how cranky and pissed off you are with them, you know they always have your back,” Mel said.

The sisters joked that ‘always having someone around’ was a two-sided coin.

“There’s also always someone there to pinch your favourite shirt or ride your horse,” Stack laughed.

Over two incredible nights of television, Tuesday June 24 and Wednesday June 25 Scott Cam and Dr Jana Pittman will lead the search to find Australia’s Most Identical.

After undertaking tests and challenge, it will be the 100 twins who will vote to crown the most identical!

Australia’s Most Identical premieres Tuesday June 24 on Channel 9 and 9Now.
