The new two-part special, Australia’s Most Identical, will see 100 sets of twins undertake tests and challenges in the hope of being crowned the nation’s most identical pair.

When will Australia’s Most Identical air?
The fascinating look into the lives of twins will premiere on Aussie screens on Tuesday, June 24 at 7.30pm AEST on Channel 9 and 9Now.
The two-part event will continue the following night, on Wednesday, June 25 at 7.30pm AEST.
Who is hosting Australia’s Most Identical?
Australia’s Most Identical will be hosted by two well-known faces that also happen to be very familiar with twins: The Block host Scott Cam and Olympian Dr Jana Pittman are both proud parents of fraternal twins.
The Block’s Scott Cam is dad to twins Bill and Sarah while former Australian athlete, summer and winter Olympian and future obstetrician and gynecologist Jana Pittman is also a parent to boy-girl twins Quinlan and Willow.
With their unique perspective on twins Scott and Jana will front this unique social investigation series.
Along the way, they will be joined by popular identical twin doctors and TV presenters, Dr Xand and Dr Chris van Tulleken, to curate the challenges, while Australia’s leading “twin experts”, Professor Sarah Wilson and Professor Jeff Craig, will assist in analysing the results, in consultation with Twin Research Australia.

Nearly one in every 250 pregnancies in Australia results in identical twins, making them a valuable resource for our knowledge on genetics. But can some twins be more identical than others?
Over two big nights, Australia’s Most Identical seeks to answer this question by bringing together 100 sets of twins from diverse backgrounds and putting them through a fascinating series of tests and challenges, ranging from mind-boggling 3D facial scans, to tests of their creative capabilities, and more.

This unique series will see Australia’s most alike twins vie for the title of the nation’s most identical pair, showcasing their uncanny similarities, in the name of science and a bit of friendly competition.
From straightforward physical comparisons to complex intellectual and personality tests, identical twins are put under the microscope to offer contributions to the longstanding nature versus nurture debate and spark lively discussions in living rooms across the country.

Some of the twins you see on Australia’s Most Identical may look familiar.
Featured in the series include Love Island Australia and The Block stars Josh and Luke Packman, former Travel Guides Stack and Mel Wilburn and stand-up comedians the Nelson Twins.
Also in the pack are twins married to twins Nazanin and Nahid, tradie twins Marcel and Jim and mirror twins Ashleigh and Taegan.
Through a series of tests, the original 100 sets of twins are whittled down to a Top 20.
