As a twin-mum and dual Summer and Winter Olympian, Dr Jana Pittman is no stranger to seeing double.
But in her latest role, the athlete-turned-doctor sees it times 100.

Jana has joined forces with The Block’s Scott Cam to host Australia’s Most Identical.
The new two-part series will see 100 sets of twins undertake tests and challenges in the hope of being crowned the nation’s most identical pair.
As Jana helps out in the search, we’ve also rounded up everything you need to know about her and her incredible career.
Jana Pittman’s family life
As a mother-of-six, including boy-girl twins Quinlan and Willow, Jana is more than qualified to oversee the Australia’s Most Identical experiment.
Jana welcomed her first born, a son named Cornelis, in 2006 with her former coach and first husband Chris Rawlinson.

Her middle children, daughters Emily and Jemima, were born in 2015 and 2016 with the help of IVF and the same sperm donor, following a health scare that forced her to reckon with her reproductive health.
Later, Jana married her now ex-husband Paul Gatward and together, they welcomed three more children: son Charlie in 2020 and Quinlan and Willow in 2022.
Jana has also donated her eggs to two other families, including her long-time friend Brad and his husband Hamish.
She often refers to her special “rainbow family” and has spoken about her pride in being a single parent for most of her children’s lives.
“Single parenthood can be tough with a big family… but moments like these make me realise just how incredibly lucky I am,” Jana shared on Instagram in March 2025, alongside a “rare” photo of her six children all together.
Jana Pittman’s Olympic career
As an athlete, Jana holds some very impressive records – including being the first Australian woman, and second Aussie overall, to compete in both the Summer and Winter Olympics.

Jana specialised in the 400 metres run and 400-metre hurdles, qualifying to represent Australia at the Sydney 2000 Olympics at just 17 years old.
She again competed at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Initially a favourite to win, Jana underwent surgery for a torn miniscus just one-week before the games began and ran 5th in the final.
In 2014, she and Astrid Radjenovic competed in the two-person bobsleigh event in Sochi.
She retired from athletics in 2012, after injuries put her out of contention first for the Beijing 2008 games and later London 2012.
Jana was also a two-time world champion and four-time Commonwealth champion.
Jana Pittman’s medical career
Incredibly, Jana began studying medicine while also training for the Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
She received her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2019 and now works as a now a Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

She also completed a Masters of Reproductive Medicine at the University of New South Wales in 2020.
Jana’s primary focus is women’s health.
She is also an ambassador for the Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation, having experienced her own scare with the precancerous condition cervical dysplasia in 2014.

In 2025, Jana returns to TV alongside The Block‘s Scotty Cam for a unique search on Australia’s Most Identical.
