When it comes to Beatles memorabilia, rarely does an antiques expert stumble upon something as “genuine” as this album.

But one expert was left stunned when a fan presented a collection of original Beatles photographs in an episode of Antiques Roadshow.

Hidden in the album however, was a piece of history worth a small fortune.

The owner of the album was a long-time Beatles fan, who in July 1963 travelled to Great Yarmouth, England with four Beatles-obsessed friends.

It just so happens the Beatles were staying in town that weekend.

She told the story of how she not only hung out with the mega popstars, but got her hands on four original autographs hidden in her album:

But there’s a reason why the autographs were worth such high value.

“The previous evening we saw The Beatles in concert and were screaming like mad,” she remembered.

It turns out, they knew a girl working in the area who told the friends where the band was staying at the time.

“We went and sat in the lounge and they came downstairs and sat with us,” she revealed.

That’s when the expert stepped in: “In addition to the photographs, you’ve got a little album here with something even more special in it…”

He discovered her diary with autographs from all four Beatles stars.

Interestingly, not all Beatles autographs are worth the same. The video below reveals why these particular autographs were worth an astonishing value: 

“I’d be quite confident to getting the better part of £5,000 in auction [about $10,502],” the expert revealed.

“Good gracious. Wow!” said the very stunned owner.

This isn’t the first time a diary of piece of memorabilia was valued at an eye-watering figure.
