The wait is almost over, as a fresh season of high-octane video game adaptation Twisted Metal is just around the corner.
To get even more excited ahead of the show’s return later this month, Stan have today released the trailer for the brand new season… and it’s safe to say, there’s plenty of carnage to come.
The brand new series Twisted Metal will premiere July 31, only on Stan.
Season 2 picks up following the revelations in the season one finale, as stars Anthony Mackie (Captain America: Brave New World) and Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as John and Quiet find themselves entering the deadly TWISTED METAL tournament, a sinister demolition derby hosted by a mysterious man known as Calypso.

What is Twisted Metal about?
Twisted Metal, based on the cult classic video game, follows a motor-mouthed outsider (Mackie) offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief (Beatriz), he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.

In Season 2, John and Quiet enter the TWISTED METAL tournament. With the chance at having one wish granted on the line, the stakes are high and the action is even more intense.
As they try to survive an onslaught of dangerous new foes and familiar faces alike, including the murderous clown Sweet Tooth, things get complicated for John when he reunites with his long-lost sister, the vigilante Dollface.
