It’s been almost a year since Andy Lee popped the question to fiancée Rebecca Harding, so you might expect their wedding planning to be well underway.
But that’s not quite the case.

The pair were engaged in April 2024, but in a March 2025 interview, 43-year-old Andy said they had been so consumed by their enormous renovation that they hadn’t had much time to think about the wedding.
Andy and Bec are one year into renovating ‘Ravenswood’, a beautiful Melbourne River property built in 1876.
“Most of our planning times or decision-making times we spend on the house”, Andy said on the Big Down Under podcast during a recent visit to Los Angeles.
“Like, what tile should we put there, etc. but I’m hopeful that this trip – you’ve got a lot of time on planes – I hope we can pick up some ideas.”
Andy said he was very “lo-fi”.
“I don’t feel the need, even when we have people around at our house, I don’t feel the need for napkins – but Bec is very hi-fi, other people might say high maintenance, I don’t know,” he joked, as Bec sat nearby.

Andy gives update on monumental underground man cave.
“I’m lucky to get the spoils of this but everything is nicely laid out, it’s the right cutlery and plates and all this stuff that comes when people come around for dinner. I’m worried that it’s going to be like that times 1000 for a wedding.”
He said they bounced between wanting a big, spectacular wedding and a more low-key event.
“It depends how much this house ends up costing. It might just be the two of us just nicking off somewhere to get it done,” he said.

With one year of the Ravenswood reno down, Andy said they still had two years to go.
Renovating is a pretty stressful task. Has it impacted their relationship at all?
“Not really, because Bec doesn’t turn up to any of the meetings,” Andy joked.
It’s not just renos and wedding details keeping Andy busy either, as he’s also just opened up an Australian pub in New York City.
That pub, appropriately called Old Mates, was founded by Andy and backed by some pretty notable Aussies.
