The documentary begins with the story of American teen heartthrobs Nick and Aaron Carter, who seemed to have it all.
But behind their remarkable gifts was a family dealing with deeply personal struggles.

The Carters: Hurts To Love You also features first-time conversations with friends who also live in the spotlight, including Melissa Joan Hart and Scout Willis and longtime manager Lori Knight.
“To have that much pressure on him as a child he was so lonely and so much longing for real love,” Scout Willis remembers.
How did Aaron Carter pass?
Aaron Carter tragically died at the age of 34.
TMZ first reported the singer, rapper and actor was found dead at his Lancaster, California home on Saturday, November 5 in 2022.
The former child star was found in his bath tub by first responders after a 911 call was made about a drowning.
The autopsy has now revealed this his death was caused by accidental drowning.
Aaron Carter’s rise to fame
Aaron Carter is the younger brother of Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter.
He rose to fame in his own right as a child star in the late ’90s with his hits I Want Candy and That’s How I Beat Shaq.

Aaron released his self-titled debut album in 1997. His fifth and final studio album LØVË was released in 2018.
Aaron opened for the Backstreet Boys on tour and also Britney Spears, before he embarked on his first solo tour in 2000, at the age of 12.
By the 2000s, he was a pop sensation and actor, making cameos as himself in television shows like Lizzie McGuire and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
As Aaron grew up, however, his life became more complicated.
Aaron and Nick’s soaring success propelled their family into the spotlight. Ultimately, that fame took a devastating toll – the story shared by Angel in the powerful documentary.
