Ali Wong and Bill Hader have joined Riki Lindhome‘s one-woman musical Dead Inside as Executive Producers.
The announcement comes ahead of the show’s Washington D.C. run at Woolly Mammoth Theatre from July 9 to July 27.
Dead Inside is a darkly funny, deeply personal exploration of Lindhome’s fertility journey, told through original songs, comedy, and heartbreakingly honest storytelling. The show has gained the attention of audiences and industry vets after a sold-out run at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and performances in Los Angeles, New York City, and Austin.
Wong and Hader, who both saw Dead Inside during its Los Angeles run, were moved to support the project as EPs.
The show has been praised for breaking taboos and creating space for shared catharsis through humor.
Lindhome is known for her work on Wednesday, Garfunkel and Oates, and Another Period, among others. new album, No Worries If Not, which includes music from Dead Inside, was released on April 1.
