Over the years, Dolly has been very open about her experience growing up in poverty.

“I have a lot of memories from my childhood, not all of them good because we had a lot of hard times,” she explained.

Dolly reflected on her often tough childhood revealing her only “regrets”.

“My dad was a father, my mum was mum – she had one on her and one in her as long as I can remember, for real,” she recalled.

“But they worked very hard and the only regrets I have of my childhood is how hard my mum and dad had to work to make it.
