The reality show centres around sisters Tammy, 38, and Amy, 37, as they tackle weight loss, life, love and everything in between.

Tammy’s relationship history
Andrea | Current relationship
After coming out as pansexual, Tammy revealed she was no longer interested in dating men although she was unsure how her family would react to being involved with a woman.
Season 7 of 1000-Lb Sisters has lifted the lid on Tammy’s relationship with girlfriend Andrea. In fact cameras filmed the moment they went on their “first ever date” at a bowling alley.
Andrea explained their first meeting: “Tammy and I met on a dating app, I had just got on there I wasn’t on there very long.
“I saw her and she saw me and we just started talking and it’s been like every day since.”

It appeared Tammy was equally as smitten saying, “Andrea is beautiful, I like everything about her.”
“I do have feelings for Andrea but right now we’re just taking things slow day-by-day.”
Fans of the show were chuffed to see Tammy and Andrea’s romance.
“The way she looks at you. So sweet,” one commented.
While another clocked a detail that they thought could mean their relationship was more serious.
“Anyone notice they both have black wedding bands on😮,” the follower wrote.

Caleb Willingham | Mid 2022 – November 2022
In 2022, while in a food addiction rehabilitation centre, Tammy met Caleb Willingham who had also embarked on a weight-loss journey of his own.
The pair were engaged in October of that year and married in November 2022.
It was reported they split after five months of marriage, but there was never any official confirmation.
Sadly, Caleb Willingham passed away on June 30, 2023.
Tammy confirmed the news by posting a sweet tribute to Caleb on social media.
“Rip sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness ❤️❤️,” she wrote.
Tammy revealed she was at home in Kentucky when she learned about Caleb’s death via text from a friend.

Tammy reveals new secret relationship.
Jerry Sykes | October 2020 – Late 2021
Tammy’s relationship with boyfriend Jerry Sykes was largely documented on Seasons 2 and 3 of the show.
After meeting in a BBW group, which Tammy explained was an online community for “big beautiful women”, Tammy and Jerry spent months talking online.
An episode of 1000-Lb Sisters showed the moment Jerry drove eight hours across the country to meet her face-to-face for the first time.
In another episode, Tammy revealed to Jerry that she was pansexual. It was during this same season that news of Jerry being married with children came to light and ultimately lead to the break-up.
Phillip Redmond | Late 2021 – August 2022
Like her relationship with Jerry, Tammy sparked a romance with Phillip by meeting in a BBW group.
Their romance featured briefly in Season 3 of the show but Tammy’s family was concerned that she was prioritising her relationship over weight loss due to Phillip’s preference in heavier women.
After a series of disagreements the pair ultimately ended things in August 2022 much to the relief of Tammy’s family.
Amy’s relationship history
Michael Halterman | 2000s – February 2023
Amy’s relationship with Michael started long before her life as a reality star with the pair meeting in high school in the 2000s.
The high school sweethearts didn’t marry until 2019 where fans got a front row seat at their wedding during Season 1 of the show.
After tying the knot they welcomed two sons, Gage in November 2020 and Glenn in July 2022.
The pair called it quits the following year with them separating in February 2023 and finalising their divorce in September 2023.

Their split was documented during the show with both noting parenting and communication as reasons for the deterioration of their marriage.
Tony Rodgers | November 2023 – January 2024
In November 2023, she took to social media to share that she was in a relationship with then-boyfriend Tony Rodgers.
A collection of photos showed the pair were smitten with each other and that Tony was stepping up to the role of step-father to Gage and Glen.
But by New Year 2024, Amy revealed she and Tony had split.
Again taking to TikTok, Amy posted a sad selfie with a countdown clock and expressed her devastation to her fans.
“Broken heart on New Year’s Eve! Single for the New Year though!!!!” she wrote at the time.

Kevin | February 2024
In February 2024, rumours swirled that Amy was dating another man named Kevin when she posted a video tribute to him on Valentines Day.
It appeared their relationship was over shortly after it began and Amy clarified her relationship status by sharing she was “single as a pringle but not ready to mingle”.

Brian Scott Lovvorn | Current relationship
Amy is currently in a relationship with Brian Scott Lovvorn with their romance featuring in Season 7 of the show.
The pair met in 2024 and although Amy didn’t feel an initial spark he convinced her to go on a date with him, they’ve been in love ever since.
Amy and Brian have faced their fair share of challenges in their short time together including an arrest and her own family’s concerns they were moving “too fast”.
But Amy didn’t see things the same way with the 37-year-old telling cameras, “We’re moving so fast but it just makes sense.”
Things seem to be going so well with the new man in Amy’s life that they’re even talking about potentially having another baby.
In May 2025, Amy shared Brian helped her and her boys celebrate a special milestone as they marked Mother’s Day together.
“I’m feeling so grateful for my two wonderful boys Gage and Glenn and my amazing boyfriend Brian,” she wrote.
Amy made the relationship social media official in April 2025 and fans were delighted to see she’d found love.
“OMGGGGG I’m soooo happy for you. Very much deserving of all things great,” one wrote.
