The Vampire Diaries’ co-stars reveal they are dating with PDA-packed appearance

The Vampire Diaries may be over, but love stories between the cast are not.

At a recent fan convention in Georgia, former castmates Arielle Kebbel and Zach Roerig confirmed they were dating with a PDA-packed appearance.

Fan-captured footage from the I Was Feeling Epic 3 convention captured Roerig surprising Kebbel with a large bouquet of flowers before the couple shared a kiss.

The romantic display earned the pair “awwws” and plenty of applause from the crowd watching on.

On Instagram, Kebbel commented three heart emojis on a fan account’s reposting of the video.

“Omg I am crying,” reacted co-star Alice Evans, who played Esther Mikaelson in the series.

“Me too ❤️,” Kebbel replied.

Roerig starred as Matt Donovan during all eight seasons of The Vampire Diaries, while Kebbel played guest star Lexi Branson in five seasons.

Fans couldn’t get enough of the news.

“They are so cute together ❤️” one fan reacted.

“So sweet! I had no idea they was together! Happy for em! 😍😍” said another.

Kebbel and Roerig, both 40, did not play love interests in the hit series, but they did when they reunited for 2023 Hallmark film Love in the Great Smoky Mountains: A National Park Romance.

They’re far from the only Vampire Diaries castmates to strike up a real-life romance, as the series became renowned for its on-set connections.

During filming, high-profile romances included the series’ main stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder.

Joseph Morgan and Persia White have been married since 2014, and stars of spin-off series Danielle Campbell and Colin Woodell got engaged in 2023 after five years of dating.

Safe to say, love is always in the air when it comes to The Vampire Diaries universe!
